Our client, a major investment bank, is looking to add an equity research analyst to their metals and mining team based in London.  The team advises institutional clients, hedge funds and asset managers on investments and ownership of equities in this significant FTSE sector.   

The team is one of the best rated in London, and you will work on the analysis of companies, write pieces of equity research, meet clients, undertake financial valuations, maintain spreadsheets and work on ad hoc tasks for the team.     

They are interested in meeting people who will have a background as follows:

-Equity research associates from other firms

-Strategy consultants or industry professionals

-Chartered accountants

-Investment banking professionals

-Exceptional communication skills

-Very likely to have metals and mining client or research experience

-We would also consider a fantastic analyst from another sector who is interested in making a move into a new sector 

Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to pick up some coverage immediately.  However, we are also interested in speaking with candidates who are capable of making rapid progression to coverage if all the other skills are evident.
