We are currently seeking to recruit a Client Asset Structuring Services (CASS) Manager (Transitions Manager) for the London office.
The Role:
This individual will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and oversight of various client structurings on a global basis. In addition to working with various investment and other functions across the firm, he/she will partner with Relationship Managers and Business Developers in understanding and negotiating business requirements that will become part of the ongoing servicing of individual client relationships. Client structurings generally include new fundings, mandate changes, and terminations across a wide spectrum of investment approaches.
The CASS Manager will also work on various projects aimed at enhancing the firm's overall business processes. He/she will engage the organization appropriately, ensuring that all of the necessary parties and functional groups are informed, involved, and engaged in asset structuring processes. This will include the evaluation of the complexity, special requirements, and risks associated with each structuring, while also considering ongoing servicing requirements. Each event may require multiple adjustments to strategy and execution, depending on client needs and internal business policies and standards. The CASS Manager must be able to anticipate and communicate trends in the industry, so that the firm can adapt as necessary to ensure that protocols keep pace with the market. This requires building and maintaining strong relationships externally with peers in the industry. This individual will play an important role in institutionalizing asset structuring knowledge by participating in the build out of business tools and reference materials to enhance the global structuring effort.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate is likely to have 10+ years of relevant asset structuring/transitions experience, gained within the Investment Management industry. This will include client facing and/or structuring experience. He/she will demonstrate: * A thorough understanding of complex investment issues, as well as a desire to improve existing investment knowledge; * A high level of knowledge of capital market theory and practice; * Strong knowledge of investment processes, trading patterns of particular investment styles, and an understanding of how styles affect the structuring strategies; * Excellent problem solving skills, in relation to understanding client objectives and developing effective and appropriate solutions to meet those objectives; * Strong business judgment, including the ability to synthesize complex issues and effectively balance competing objectives; * Excellent organizational, project planning and execution skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task under time constraints; * The ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, other internal functions, and other regional offices; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; * Strong presentation skills; * A strong academic background, including a Bachelors Degree. A relevant professional qualififcation, e.g CFA or MBA would be advantageous.
