What you’ll do
We are looking for an ambitious, pro-active and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, which handles the financial administration for Optiver Europe. You will be involved in all aspects of the administration. As part of your duties you will be maintaining the General Ledger accounts of our European entities as well as contributing to financial reporting.

Tasks
As our new financial accountant, together with the team you will work on:

• Accounts Payable;
• Prepare and review reconciliations and controls;
• Maintain and implement procedures;
• Fixed assets administration;
• Monthly close of the financial administrations;
• Financial reporting;
• Manage relationships with other departments;
• Accounting for trading results and – positions;
• Project accounting.

What you’ll need

• Higher Vocational level (HBO) preferably Economics;
• Up to two years experience in similar position;
• A numerical and analytical mind;
• Someone who takes ownership of his own work;
• Drive to improve current procedures and abilities of the department;
• Experience with Excel, preferably also Exact;
• Commercial, ambitious, flexible and result driven;
• Team worker;
• Ability to work indepently;
• Have strong attention to detail;
• Excellent communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
