Job Description:
General Summary: Lead the Fixed Income Project Management Team to achieve key management objectives for development and modification of products, systems, and workflows. Partner with key business and IT development leaders in the Evaluated Services (EVS) department to guide the group through the successful implementation of programs/projects.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction, coaching on project specific tasks as well as individual development.
Manage team to create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Regularly report progress to project stakeholders.
Develop and ensure that acceptable processes and practices are in place and followed by the PM team.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders with varied interests.
Quickly identify and frame risks and issues and ensure their timely resolution or escalation.
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs and recommend solutions and options.
Coordinate user acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
Program Management Requirements
5+ years experience in project management
2+ years experience managing Fixed Income project managers and the entire PMO project portfolio in a fast paced, agile project environment.
Extensive experience in business planning, budget control, quality management, executing, and leading software development and business process reengineering projects.
Expert understanding of Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK)
Experience defining Project Management processes using a formal framework.
PMP Certification
Familiarity with techniques for managing multi-project environments including shared resource groups.
Expertise in project estimation and requirements analysis.
Strong analytical skills. Quickly understands business issues and challenges facing the company.
Strong knowledge of Fixed Income financial instruments.
Experience in either regulatory/ compliance issues, evaluation services, trading, research, investment decision support, or market data information services.
Experience managing consultants and 3rd parties.
Familiarity with concepts of control and evidencing.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Technical Requirements
Experience with Web Technologies, Java/J2EE and OO design approaches.
Practical knowledge of relational database use.
Experience with message-oriented and service-oriented architectures.
Experience managing projects using formal software development practices including RUP and Structured development. Preferred:
