This independent private equity investment firm has a great track record in the 3 sectors it has primarily focused on historically – financial services, leisure and business services. The fund has over €2.5bn under management. It focuses on businesses with significant growth prospects, robust cash flows and exceptional management teams, particularly in the 3 sectors already mentioned, but also in any sector in which an interesting investment opportunity might be identified. The emphasis is not on financial engineering, particularly not in the already highly levered financial services sector, though leverage of course plays a part, but rather on operational expertise, knowledge of the market and a pragmatic ability to make things happen as necessary to create value. The firm is now looking to hire an additional Analyst / Associate with financial services sector experience to continue the firm’s successes and growth. You should have good training from the FIG team of a leading investment bank, with the detailed financial modelling experience which that entails. You’ll know the sector well and understand the unique challenges the sector poses. As the firm’s approach is an understated one, you will yourself be comfortable in such an environment and enjoy being part of a still relatively small, close-knit team.
You should be able to demonstrate:
Top-rating from the FIG team of a leading investment bank
Strong academic track record
Good modelling skills are important
Fluency in German or Spanish is required, as the fund invests across Europe
An understated approach which suits a small, close-knit team
