About the job Reporting to the CIS Pricing & Financial Accounting Senior Manager, this individual will oversee the production of consistently accurate and timely daily prices and accounting records for the Mutual Funds range by our Third Party Outsourced Back Office Supplier and maintain strong relationships with them to ensure their performance is appropriate to meet the obligations to customers, and deliver projects and change in accordance with SWIP strategic objectives.
What will you be doing? - Implement and maintain effective monitoring of processes and controls at our Third Party Outsourced Back Office Supplier to ensure the delivery of consistently accurate and timely daily prices by the Outsourced Back Office Supplier ensuring issues are escalated in a timely manner and appropriate and timely remedial actions are taken, including changes to the level of monitoring.
- Implement suitable validation checks on daily prices from the Third Party Outsourced Back Office Supplier to ensure the accuracy of prices delivered to the end customers, Client Services, and Third Party Outsourced Back Office Suppliers TA, and that any out of tolerance movements are justified prior to release.
- Monitor the application of accounting policies and changes in accounting policies by our Third Party Outsourced Back Office Supplier, ensuring these are being correctly applied and that any errors in their application are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
- Perform analytical reviews of monthly fund trial balances from our Third Party Outsourced Back Office Supplier ensuring results are in line with expectation and any unexpected movements are identified and resolved in a timely manner and are communicated to all interested parties.
- Support the CIS Pricing & Financial Accounting Senior Manager in managing the relationship with Client Services ensuring appropriate representation at meetings and timely resolution of service issues including consistent application of the Pricing Issue Decision Matrix.
- Manage the accurate and timely delivery of quarterly OEIC Consolidation information in accordance with SW Finance reporting timetables and ensure timely resolution of queries.
- Support the CIS Pricing & Financial Accounting Senior Manager in overseeing the relationship with our Third Party Outsourced Back Office Supplier providing input where necessary to influence their performance where Service Levels fall below those required to meet the obligations to customers.
- Produce timely and accurate KPI information and Dashboards to monitor service levels from service providers and to clients.
- Ensure all identified controls for the function, including Sarbanes Oxley, are being consistently applied and any agreed actions to improve controls are implemented in a timely manner.
- Oversee projects relating to the CIS Pricing & Financial Accounting function ensuring the appropriate internal and external resource is in place to attend project meetings and deliver projects and change in accordance with agreed deadlines.
- Manage and motivate the OEIC & UT Pricing team ensuring appropriate communication structures are in place and role objectives and individual development needs are agreed on an annual basis and regularly reviewed/addressed as appropriate. Ensure the performance of team members is managed in line with SWIP’s performance management and career development structures.
- Where required, deputise for the CIS Pricing & Financial Accounting Senior Manager at meetings and undertake any projects or tasks as may be required from time to time by the Head of Investment Accounting.
- Keep the CIS Pricing & Financial Accounting Senior Manager informed on a timely basis of issues and matters arising.
- Ensure best practice within the business, including ensuring procedure notes are in place and up to date for all processes, and initiate and deliver any change process which may be required.
