A niche London based FSA Authorised and regulated Hedge Fund Manager active in European and US quity markets seeks a hands-on qualified accountant to take charge of its Finance and Operations function. Reporting to the board, the candidate will be expected to perform day to day product control role on the firms trading (reconciliations, daily trading P&L); ensure the smooth opersation of trade settlement by the Fund's prime brokers; liaise with the Funds Admin team for publication of monthly Net Asset Values and Annual Financial's. You will also be involved in helping the IT department build a new trading application, no previous IT knowledge is needed. The candidate will also supervide the firms FSA reporting and tax returns (corporate tax/VAT). You will have a minimum of four years experience with a securities firm or financial institution, be a graduate, a qualified accountant, have an understanding of trading settlement cycle and ideally experience in product accounting/controller, knowledge of FSA reporting.
