An opportunity has arisen to join the Exotics stream of Fixed Income Product Control within the Product Control and Complex Product Support area. Product Control ensures the integrity, completeness and accuracy of all trading, Profit and Loss (P&L) positions and related corporate data. They work closely with traders to understand their trading strategies and risks and help develop new products and support products tailored to client needs. Complex Product Support handles the operations activity for derivatives, commodities, structured products and fund-linked products. Complex Product Support management is aligned with Product Control to ensure the operational handling of these complex products supports the ability to correctly account for them.
The Exotics Product Control stream of Fixed Income Product Control is responsible for understanding and controlling the Exotic Interest Rate Derivatives OTC Trading businesses. This is done by independently substantiating the completeness, accuracy and validity of all business related corporate data that is used by Financial Control, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Collateral Management, Trading and Marketing. This includes the provision of completed daily Profit and Loss and critical control functions such as price testing and structured trade reviews. The team is located in both London and Singapore.

Position Description:
The Exotics Product Controller will be responsible for a number of activities including; Overseeing work on a number of the Exotics - Hybrids portfolios including daily P&L production. This covers the reconciliation between Front Office Risk Management System and the Back Office P&L systems and seeks to validate the trading P&L. The reconciliation covers all aspects of P&L activity such as valuation of positions, cash balances, funding and provisions. These responsibilities require an excellent understanding of the product, and clear communication with the Front Office, Operations and Financial Control departments. The successful candidate will also be required to perform P&L decomposition - analyse, explain and validate trading P&L applying market and product knowledge. Moves should be explained according to market moves, new trades and other activities, forming the basis of the clean P&L submission. You will also manage all marketing and risk provisions/reserves on the books to ensure accurate P&L reporting. This involves understanding how provision values are derived based on market influences and accounting principles and evaluating their overall impact on P&L. Reviewing of complex trade bookings including dealing with new products being traded for the first time. This involves understanding the relevant accounting and valuation methodologies as well as booking implications for the new trade. The role also requires close liaison with Front Office and other internal clients to initiate/further process developments and other ad hoc queries. Skills Experience / Qualifications:
